Arches Oil Paper is an ideal 300gsm, premium paper for oil painting and related multimedia techniques. This advanced, "ready to use" paper features an effective oil barrier that enables solvents, binders, and water to be evenly absorbed, while pigment and paint remain on the surface. Furthermore, due to its exceptionally robust surface, it is able to endure vigorous brushing with stiff bristle brushes, wet paint removal with turpentine, and palette knives with ease. It is also notably less brittle and stiff compared to papers necessitating gesso. Additionally, its lightweight character, combined with its capacity to be rolled and cut to size, makes it a convenient and ideal format for transportation and storage.
